No Frills Sweater

This is my first blog post, and I want to tell you about my very first piece of handmade clothing: The No Frills Sweater by PetiteKnit.

This sweater has raglan shoulders, a wide neck and regular sleeves.

It’s perfect for beginners - like I absolutely was, when I knit this sweater in December 2019.

Yarn

I bought the yarn at a danish webshop, Smuksak.

I held together one strand of Lana Gatto VIP (Powder) and one strand of Lana Gatto Silk Mohair (Rosa Clay).

The sweater is perfect for spring time!

Is it beginner friendly?

Yes, the No Frills Sweater is beginner friendly!

I would recommend watching some YouTube tutorials on the basics of knitting, if you’ve never knit before. Especially for getting the raglan increases right.

Once you get past the the armholes, the body is just a lot of stockinette.

But I think this pattern is very suitable to someone starting their knitting journey or to someone who wants to graduate from knitting dishcloths.
